Life at First Baptist
This morning, as I work from my living room, watching out the window as Weston is put on pause I reminded of the reality of our fallen world. Sometimes, I must admit that I can forget that Weston is not a bubble in which we live, free from the stain of sin. Certainly, we live in a relatively safe town and for that I grateful, but we mustn't forget that just like sin has touched every aspect of our being it likewise has spread to every hidden pocket in our world. As we pray for local law enforcement, for the man so ensnared by his sin to make such poor life altering decisions, and for our community may we do so with humility and sobriety. Paul writes, “But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.” (Romans 5:15) For more infomation visit:

Wednesday Morning Women's Bible StudyAll women are invited to the Wednesday Morning Women's Bible Study! - Wednesday, September 23, 2026 From the opening chapters of Genesis through the final verses of Revelation, God is known by many names—names that reveal who He is, what He does, and how He relates to His children. He is El-Roi, “the God who sees me.” He is Jesus, “the Lord is salvation.” He is the Spirit, your Comforter and Counselor. And you? You have a name, too.
