Church Work Day |

Spring has sprung and it is time to pull together for a little spring cleaning and upkeep around the church! The Building & Grounds Team is calling for all hands on deck for a church wide work day on Saturday, April 20th from 8AM - 2PM. We'll throw on some coffee and feed ya! If you have hand tools, power tools, and/or yard tools that would be helpful. The team is putting together a comprehensive list of tasks to be completed on this day and we will have that out as soon as it is complete. Hope to see you there! |

West Platte Baccalaureate Service |
|
FBC Weston's own Mitch & Bailee Giger lead the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at West Platte. Every year the FCA students put on a special Baccalaureate Service for graduating seniors. The service is May 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Even if you do not have graduating students this is your invitation to come out as a member of FBC Weston and the Weston community to show support. What a great way to put some skin on being a church that is for the Community! |

Brothers & Sisters, If I haven't told you in a while.. I really love being your Pastor. My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude for the undeserved privilege of getting to be a part of First Baptist Church of Weston, let alone to get to be the Pastor. A member of the church recently shared the burden they have to see people come to faith in Christ and to get plugged into a local church, but specifically they have been praying that people would see just how special our church is. That really encouraged my heart! The Lord is building a community of faith here that is growing in both depth and breadth. Do we get everything right? Of course not, but I think that is what makes it so special. Learning to fail well is actually a sign of a healthy church. It strengthens our dependency on God and our relationships with one another. This is the point Paul makes in Romans 12! Give that a read today... and hear me say, I am just so thankful to be a part of it with you! Have a grace filled week, |
