St. Joseph PRC Bottle &

We are still collecting bottles and items for the St. Joseph Pregnancy Resource Center. There are still about 9 bottles out there from the 25 we received from the PRC. Items and bottles can be dropped off in the east hallway going into the Sanctuary.

Asking God for Elders & Deacons

We are currently in a season of prayer asking the Lord to reveal to us who the men are that He has set apart to help lead and serve our church as Elders & Deacons. Yesterday, Pastor Ricky encouraged the church to refresh themselves of the first qualification listed in 1 Timothy 3, desire. If the Lord has laid a man on your heart that you would like to submit for consideration in either of these positions it is time to ask them if they have considered this and/or have a desire to serve in this way. We will begin taking submissions from the church body beginning in March. More details on that to come.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

At our previous Family Meeting we received an update on our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. We set a goal of $1,500 and we landed around $400. It was determined that we did not meet our goal because we were focused elsewhere with the remodel and didn't promote it enough to let people know they can give to it. I admit some fault for this! So, we are going to open up our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering through the month of February. This money goes directly the International Missions Board and more information can be found by clicking here! If you would like to give toward Lottie Moon you can do so by indicating on your check memo line or giving envelope. The online giving link is above. We will send out a weekly update in the Life at First Baptist.

Light up the tree! We are just $1,100 from our $1,500 goal! Every $100 donated will give a new strand of lights to the tree. When we reach out the star will finish out the tree's decorations.

Pastor's Pen

Brothers & Sisters,

I do hope that you walked away encouraged by our time together yesterday. The Lord has been so incredibly faithful to us as a church. What a privilege it is to get to set aside some specific time to spend around the Lord's Table each month. God's grace is tangible in our participation together!

I want to encourage you to make special note of all that is happening around the church! As I look at the above I am so encouraged by the generosity of the church! It has been really incredible to see the idea of being a church that is "for the Kingdom and for the community" move from a concept to the culture of this church!

It is a joy to be on this mission with you!
