A Missions Conference & Update from the Future Mitras

A couple of weeks ago a few of us were blessed to attend a Missions Conference at Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph. The keynote speaker was Nik Ripken. If you do not know who Nik Ripken is you can learn more here. Many of you have got to know Zane & Katie and have been blessed by their ministry. Zane actually spent time with Nik & Ruth Ripken while he was on mission with his parents in Germany! It was a sweet reunion with them. Nik challenged us to always be thinking about the persecuted church and even gave us several ides on how we could bless and help missionaries. Join with me in prayer as we pray about this. Specifically, pray and ask the Lord, "What are the 'ends of the earth' for FBC Weston?" It was such a joy to get to attend this concern with Zane & Katie!

While we are on the topic of spending time with Zane & Katie be sure to give them an all caps CONGRATULATIONS when you see them again. Yesterday, they were engaged! I'll allow them to share the details of the proposal. With that said we have some bittersweet news.

Zane has joined the Army and will be shipping out to Savannah, Georgia just after Resurrection Sunday. That will be his last Sunday with us and we will certainly send him out in prayer!

They would like to invite the church to a Going Away Party on Saturday, March 30th at 12:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Lunch is provided but you are encouraged to bring a side or dessert if you desire. RSVP to Katie Graves.
