Church Work Day

Spring has sprung and it is time to pull together for a little spring cleaning and upkeep around the church! The Building & Grounds Team is calling for all hands on deck for a church wide work day on Saturday, April 20th from 8AM - 2PM. We'll throw on some coffee and feed ya! For a comprehensive list of tasks and tools needed please click here!

FREE books and shelves! We are cleaning out the old church library and removing the shelves to give us more space in one of our Children's Classrooms. These books will remain at the church and are FREE for the taking through the rest of the month. The shelves are also FREE for the taking if someone would like to come and get them before the Work Day this Saturday. If they are still here on Saturday we will remove them and haul them off.

FBC Weston's Quarterly Family Meeting & Meal is April 21st following service. Bring a dish to share at the meal. An Itinerary for the meeting will be sent out the week of the meeting.

FBC Weston is hosting the SJBA Semi-Annual Meeting on April 28th.

There are several areas you can help with: registration, hospitality, and/or attending as a Messenger for the meeting. Let Pastor Ricky know if you are interested!

West Platte Baccalaureate Service

FBC Weston's own Mitch & Bailee Giger lead the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at West Platte. Every year the FCA students put on a special Baccalaureate Service for graduating seniors. The service is May 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Even if you do not have graduating students this is your invitation to come out as a member of FBC Weston and the Weston community to show support. What a great way to put some skin on being a church that is for the Community!

FBC Weston Women's Conference

Join us on Friday, May 31st for a one night conference hosted by the women of First Baptist! The theme of the conference is "No Matter What" and is rooted in the words of Paul in Philippians 4:4-13. You don't want to miss this! "No matter what, God sustains!" For more information, hit the registration link. Register here!

Vacation Bible School

Mark your calendars for July 22-26th

Registration is now LIVE!

VBS Volunteer Meeting, June 2nd.

Pastor's Pen

Brothers & Sisters,

Thank you for stumbling forward with me yesterday. I had such a full week, but it was all so very good. As I stated, I spent a lot of time in worship and fellowship with many brothers and sisters in the Lord, but it was just SO good to be home. There's no place I would rather be. I do hope that your time yesterday morning was encouraging. Jesus is getting personal and practical with us! This coming Sunday will be no different. I do want to remind you to pay careful attention to the information above. The work day is this Saturday and many hands make light work! I'll also make some of my "special" coffee for you! Also, this coming Sunday is our quarterly Family Meeting. If you are a member of the church, please plan to attend. We are welcoming in many new members, hearing reports from our Building & Grounds and Stewardship Teams, and the Deacons and I are excited to present our Elder & Deacon Candidates. Plus, following the meeting we WILL eat, and that's worth sticking around for all by itself.

I look forward to seeing you!
