We are setting goal of $2,000 for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Plan on attending our Lottie Moon Book Club to learn more about Lottie Moon's work in China that sparked this special offering that funds missionaries all around the world! |
Operation Christmas Child |

Operation Christmas Child kicks off this Sunday and we will be collecting boxes until November 17th. You can pick up boxes and instructions on ow to fill them at the church. On collection day we will take time to pray over them as we send them out! |

Family Meeting |

Our next Family Meeting is Sunday, October 20th. Please plan on joining us for several updates as well as an opportunity to share in the vision as we look to the future of FBC Weston. There will be a Family Meal following the meeting. Please bring a dish to share! |

Community Blood Drive |

Outdoor Move Night is Back! |

By popular demand we are bringing back the Outdoor Movie Night this year. Invite your friends and family to join us for a night of good fun, food, and fellowship. The entire event is completely FREE and open to any and all who would like to attend. |

Child Safety Training |
|
|
We are partnering with the Missouri Baptist Children's Home to host a child safety training. This is a training that will be beneficial for all current Children's Ministry volunteers and any who have a desire to serve in this vital ministry in our church. This training is open to any and all at FBC Weston who would like to attend, however. We are also opening this training up to the school and any other local organizations that serve children. The training is FREE to all attendees.

As we kick off the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering we are hosting a book club to help educate the church on her great missionary work. Sharon Shouse tracked down a book that covers Lottie Moon's missionary work in China. There are a limited number of copies available at the Connection Desk in the Sanctuary. You can also purchase the book yourself by clicking here! We will take the month of October to read through the book and gather in November to discuss before we kick off our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. This Book Club is co-ed and open to all in the church. Bring a snack to share! |

|
Brothers & Sisters, Sometimes the boys and I like to have breath holding competitions under water and I'll hold my breath until I can't take it any longer. I'll hold and hold and hold. I'll squeeze the sides of the pool and kick my legs thinking that I am actually doing something to help me keep my head under water when finally I can't take it any more and I'll pull my head above the surface and gasp for air in an explosion. That's a lot like what I felt like this morning when I woke up and walked out on the front porch to see my breath. I woke up today and the trees matched the weather. I think I share this every year but this time of year is always such a breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Summer... but when that cool air hits it is like a weight lifted off of my chest and I can breathe again. Each season is fixed in its time by God's providential plan. So it is with our individual lives and the corporate life of the church. God uses all of it for purposes of pruning so that He may bring forth renewed life in us. That's where we are. We are entering into the busyness of Fall ministry and God is going to use all of it to continue growing us together as we press on toward Christ. With that said, I want to encourage you to make special note of all the wonderful opportunities for ministry and fellowship among us. I look forward to taking part with you! |
